What happened: Paubox sponsored a hole at the HIMSS Tennessee Chapter's 6th Annual Golf Tournament on June 25, 2026, at Hermitage Golf Course in Nashville. Our team spent the day with the healthcare IT leaders who plan, secure, and run the systems Tennessee hospitals and clinics depend on.
About the outing: TN HIMSS is the Tennessee chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Its annual outing pulls CIOs, security leads, and health IT teams out of the office for a day on the course, and it has become one of the easier ways to meet the people behind Nashville's healthcare technology community.
The highlight: Meeting new people. The day gave us time to connect with partners and prospects across the Nashville healthcare IT community, the kind of unhurried conversation that is hard to replicate over email.
What we heard: A few themes came up again and again. The built-in protection that comes with the big email platforms gets teams part of the way, but it leaves gaps they can feel. Phishing has gotten convincing enough that even careful staff have to look twice. Anything that buys a stretched team back some time earns a real look.
Why it matters: Leadership is raising far more cybersecurity questions than it was a year ago, which moves email security from an IT task to a board-level conversation. That is the work Paubox shows up for every day for more than 8,000 healthcare organizations, and hearing it straight from the people doing the job beats any presentation we could have brought to the course.
A small bonus: The Paubox team brought home third place in this year's tournament. Bragging rights!
The bottom line: Thanks to TN HIMSS for putting on a great day, and to everyone who talked shop with us between shots. We will see you at the next one.
