Paubox Engineering sunsetted our "monolith" user interface (UI) in Q1 2025
This concluded a multiple year project involving the introduction of containerized microservices to streamline our backend infrastructure as well as completely overhaul our user experience. Every customer facing page has been updated.
We updated the following pages between January and March specifically:
- Sent mail archive & received mail archive were replaced with modals in the new Mail Archive page
- Must have Email Suite Premium to view
- Both pre & post login password reset pages
- We also introduced expanded password requirements
- You can now use pass phrases, including spaces e.g. "correct horse battery staple"
- Replaced our sign up and set up wizards
- Merged outbound & inbound DLP quarantines with the existing inbound quarantine
- Must have Email Suite Premium to view the merged experience
- Must have Email Suite Premium to view the merged experience
ExecProtect+, Voicemail Transcription, & Paubox [Tags]
In response to customer feedback, we released ExecProtect+ which, when enabled, will automatically create ExecProtect profiles for all emails flowing through your domain. It can be enabled via Inbound Security Settings.
We enabled Voicemail Transcription as a toggle any Plus or Premium customer can enable via Inbound Security Settings as well. This feature automatically transcribes any audio file flowing through your domain and sends you an email with the transcription.
We also released a new feature, Paubox [Tags], again thanks to customer feedback. Busy IT Admins can make use of this functionality to notify their colleagues emails are safe at a glance.
New Partner Experience
We redesigned the Partner Console and converted it to next.js. Now when a Partner Admin logs in, they'll land on their clients table.
This table is searchable, replacing the duplicative navigation that used to appear both in the lefthand navigation and at the top of the page.
Existing clients subscriptions can be edited by clicking on the line in the table, which opens a modal.
New clients can be added using the "Add" button on the top left of the table, which will open the product selection page.
Following product selection, Partners are prompted to enter client details and confirm the new subscription. New clients will appear as (Pending) until subscriptions are confirmed through our payment system.
Bug fixes
- Releasing the new set up wizard corrected a long standing bug where existing customers who had already configured their accounts were prompted to set them up again
- Users got caught on a screen that said "hang tight!" but they could not navigate past
- Corrected customer issues with DMARC failures
- Corrected issues editing users
- Corrected issues with our footer stripping attachments
