Today we are pleased to announce the availability of the Paubox MCP server (mcp.paubox.com). As far as we know, we are the first HITRUST certified solution to release a Model Context Protocol server.
What's happening
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open protocol that lets large language models (LLMs) connect to external tools, data sources, services, and email in a safe, structured way.
- In other words, MCP standardizes how applications provide context to LLMs. According to official MCP documentation:
How do I use it?
- To get started, you need to connect to the Paubox MCP server via a client like Claude. Here's how you'd connect via Claude.
- There are a range of clients that support MCP connections.
- As of today, MCP is aimed towards developers.
How much does it cost?
- The Paubox MCP server supports sending HIPAA compliant, HITRUST certified email via Paubox Email API.
- In other words, access to the Paubox MCP server is free. You only pay for the amount of secure emails you sent through it.
- You can send up to 300 emails per month for free with the Paubox MCP server. A business associate agreement (BAA) is also included.
