Each month we share a mix of UI updates, bug fixes, and new features shipped across the Paubox platform. Have a suggestion? Let your account manager know.

Faster Paubox dashboard

Paubox moved its dashboard to a new front-end architecture, and the result is noticeably quicker page loads across the app.

  • Moved more dashboard pages to load natively in-app, so pages like mail logs and quarantine open faster.
  • Quarantine and mail log pages in particular feel snappier when opening and switching views.

Automatic secure delivery when a recipient's certificate fails

When a recipient's mail server presents a TLS certificate problem, Paubox now protects the message instead of risking an insecure delivery. Rather than failing or sending in the clear, the email is delivered through the Paubox Secure Message Center.

  • If a recipient has a mismatched, expired, or self-signed TLS certificate, the message is delivered as a secure message.
  • Began rolling out across outbound clusters during October.

Additional updates by product

Inbound email security

  • Began rolling out malicious link scanning that flags and quarantines messages containing known malicious links.

Outbound email security

  • Encryption bypass and unencrypted-sender rules now apply correctly to senders whose address includes a "+" tag or comes through forwarding (such as Gmail forwarding).
  • Reduced DKIM body-hash failures that could interfere with signing and delivery.
  • Groups and aliases no longer appear on the Encrypted Senders page.

Email API

  • Fixed open tracking so open rates and statuses display correctly, addressing both a data storage and lookup bug and a case-sensitivity issue affecting tracking pixels.
  • Custom headers sent through the Email API are again passed through to webhooks.
  • Released paubox-node SDK v1.4.2 with a dependency security update.

DLP

  • DLP email notifications no longer include the plain-text body when a keyword match is found in the HTML body.

Partner Dashboard

  • Partners who add Paubox Marketing to a client now see it in the left navigation when viewing that client's dashboard.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that prevented admins from viewing their own inbound mail headers.
  • Restored HTML rendering of emails in the mail log's Show Original view.
  • Fixed a sign-in issue where switching your two-factor method and then closing the browser before entering the code led to a blank screen on the next login.
  • Fixed Paubox Forms so text fields render correctly on submission PDFs.
  • Improved the mobile layout of the sign-in page.
