Click and open tracking added to Paubox Email API

We are pleased to announce click and open tracking for Paubox Email API.

What's happening

 Customers asked us to incorporate click and open tracking into Paubox Email API, our HIPAA compliant transactional email solution.

While we were at it, we added unsubscribe tracking as well.

Click Tracking

When enabled, Click Tracking causes all links and URLs in your emails to be overwritten and pointed to Paubox servers.

When a recipient clicks a link, Paubox tracks those clicks for you.

Open Tracking

Open Tracking adds an invisible, one pixel image at the end of an email. This is used to track email opens.

If the email recipient has images enabled on their email client and a request to a Paubox server for the invisible image is executed, then an open event is created. 

Unsubscribe Tracking 

Unsubscribe Tracking adds automatic subscription management links to the bottom of emails.

Paubox keeps track of these unsubscribes to ensure these users don't get future emails from you.

Enabling Tracking

In the Paubox Dashboard, click Paubox Email API, then Settings.

Next, you'll see a toggle for each tracking method.
