Virtual care in the real world - ATA Nexus 2024

The Paubox team is in Phoenix, AZ, for ATA Nexus 2024, the largest gathering of virtual care experts and innovators. We've been having great conversations with Telehealth leaders about providing seamless communication with their patients before and after a telehealth visit. 

Highlights:

• While the event began on Sunday, it got into full swing on Monday, with a lot more attendees at the event and more people stopping by the Paubox booth.
• The team had a great time visiting Paubox customers who had their own booths (see pictures below).
• We heard from many providers that while their organizations rely on portals, the engagement is remarkably low.
• One of the biggest topics at the event was reimbursement policy and how it's dictating the future of telehealth.
• Policy and legal issues were on the agenda on Sunday, while Monday focused more on VR and AR in telehealth.
• Remote monitoring and virtual care could be the future of healthcare.
• The event held a Telehealth 101 Bootcamp to help bring attendees up to speed, even if they're new to telehealth solutions.
• The big news in Telehealth is Walmart abandoning its plan to build out a network of low-cost health clinics due to escalating costs and reimbursement challenges.
