The elevated hospitality chalet: Sony Open 2025 prep meeting

My coworker Mountan Mitchell and I attended the Sony Open corporate hospitality lunch meeting today at the Waialae Country Club.

What's happening: The upcoming Sony Open will run from January 6th - 12th in 2025 at the Waialae Country Club.

We have an elevated hospitality chalet next to our customer, Hawaii Dental Service, on the 17th hole.

Friends of Hawaii Charities: The organization was formed in 1998 due to a shared vision and collaboration of a group of Hawaii business and community leaders.

Friends of Hawaii Charities provides support for local nonprofit programs that serve and benefit Hawaii’s women, children, elderly, and impoverished.

Their primary fundraising event is the Sony Open.

Sony Open (by the numbers):

  • Over $25 million donated to Hawaii nonprofits since 1999

  • Is aired in 213 countries and territories
  • 350 local nonprofits have received funding to-date
  • Nearly 100 sponsors (now including Paubox)
