Takeaways from day 3 at the Sony Open 2025

The third day of the Sony Open was filled with great conversations and excellent golf.

What's happening: For the first time, we have an elevated hospitality chalet next to our customer, Hawaii Dental Service, on the 17th hole of the Sony Open.

Key takeaways: Today's attendees were mostly customers, but also saw a number of locals from the Hawaii tech startup scene swing by. This made for interesting conversations as healthcare professionals mingled with tech folks and shared common goals.

One thing that stood out was that most of people we spoke to were more excited to meet others in their industry than they were about the putting happening a few feet away, but we all took the time to watch some skilled play.

Compliance - and tech's role in helping businesses meet regulatory requirements - was a frequent topic. When healthcare providers can focus on patients and offload HIPAA compliance to software services like Paubox, patients experience better outcomes.

Customers are looking to Paubox to take on more of their communication needs through our API and Paubox Texting.

Everyone, even those outside the healthcare industry, feel the pain of portal-based or fax-based communication. Several passers-by mentioned that they wished their larger hospital systems would make provider-patient communication easier.

What happened next: At the end of the day, the Paubox sales team distributed the leftover food at a nearby park to those in need.
