THE WIZ at Golden Gate Theatre: My takeaways
Last night we were delighted to see THE WIZ at the Golden Gate Theatre in San Francisco.
We were delighted by Six the Musical this evening at San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre.
What’s happening: Thanks to my wife, we got last minute tickets to a sold out show at Market Street’s Orpheum Theatre. It was a 20 minute walk from the Paubox office.
Why it matters: We are enjoying a less densely populated San Francisco.
From the playbill: “It’s all queens in this pop-rock musical from across the pond, which sees the six wives of Henry VIII join forces as a modern girl group. Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr steal the spotlight from their infamous husband to reclaim their own identities and duke it out to become the group’s lead singer.”
The bottom line: A smart, creative, and energetic performance, sans intermission. Highly recommended.
