Scholarship recipient Kainoa Hottendorf is entering his junior year at UC Berkeley, where he'll be taking on multiple leadership roles, including resident assistant, lifeguard, and instructor of a Native Hawaiian language and culture class. Here is a word from Kainoa:
"Aloha. I want to express my gratitude for the Paubox Kahikina STEM scholarship in this video. It's allowed me to continue my education at UC Berkeley, which I am immensely grateful for. This upcoming year will be my last year. I'm going to be a junior, and I'm really excited to get started. I'm going to be a resident assistant this year. I'm also going to be lifeguarding, and I will also be teaching a class on Native Hawaiian language and culture there. I'm really excited to come back to Hawaii after graduation and help out the Hawaii community in any way that I can. Again, mahalo so much for this opportunity."
