Last week members of our CS, Marketing and Ops teams headed to San Francisco for HubSpot’s Inbound conference. Having it right in the heart of a tech city made a difference—you could feel the energy everywhere, from the main stage to the late-night conversations.
A few highlights that stuck with us:
-
Amy Poehler on teamwork
With the right team, you can make almost anything happen. Amy reminded us that a good team will always beat a good idea, because the people you’re with determine how far you can actually take it. That’s a lesson we’ve seen play out at Paubox every day. -
On failure
Failure isn’t the end—it’s a signal you’re moving in the right direction. Amy reframed it as proof that you’re testing boundaries, trying new things, and not staying stagnant. That perspective matters in a world where innovation often comes from what doesn’t work first.Amy challenged the audience to ask two simple questions after every effort: “What did we do wrong? How do we do better next time?” It’s a call to make post-mortems less about blame and more about growth. We’re bringing that mindset back with us.
-
HubSpot betas everywhere
HubSpot used Inbound to roll out what felt like an entire wave of betas across the platform. The sheer volume of announcements was impressive, but more importantly, it showed how quickly the company is iterating to meet customer needs. The pace of change isn’t slowing down. -
AI front and center
AI wasn’t just a side note—it was woven into nearly every session. The emphasis was on using AI to help teams move faster, automate the repetitive, and spend more time on strategic work. That message resonated with how we’re already looking at the future of email security.
We left Inbound energized, reminded that the right team and mindset make all the difference—and that experimenting (and sometimes failing) is exactly how you build the future.
