We’re live from New Orleans at ATA Nexus 2025, and Day 1 is already digging into the future of virtual care. From AI-powered nursing to digital equity in rural health, the conversations are bold, practical, and future-focused.
Virtual nursing & AI innovation
Day 1 began with a working breakfast at the Virtual Nursing Workshop, featuring a spotlight on Duke Health’s approach to scaling virtual nursing and next-gen care models.
Shortly after, an industry panel brought together leaders from AvaSure, Artisight, Caregility, and VirtuALLY to discuss the expanding role of AI in virtual nursing. The panelists shared best practices for AI adoption, real-world applications in clinical workflows, and the future of AI-driven nursing models.
Digital equity & rural care
In the afternoon, a session titled “Bridging the Rural Healthcare Gap: Digital-First Care Delivery Solutions” showcased strategies for improving access in underserved areas.
Panelists from Oklahoma State University, Ballad Health, Variety Care, and MUSC discussed the use of AI, remote patient monitoring, and virtual care systems to transform care delivery for rural populations.
