Conditional logic comes to Paubox Forms

Product update image - conditional logic comes to Paubox Forms

We're excited to announce that Paubox Forms now supports conditional logic, to show or hide any field based on a previous answer. This is live today for all Paubox Forms customers.

What's happening

Customers asked for forms that adapt to the person filling them out. We've built conditional logic so you can build one form that changes based on what someone selects.

For example, an intake form can ask whether someone is a new or returning patient and show a different set of questions for each. If a referral question offers "Other," you can reveal a "Please explain" box only for the people who pick it. Secondary insurance fields can stay hidden until someone says they have secondary coverage.

The result is that each person sees only what is relevant to them. Hidden fields are skipped on submit and left out of the response, so you are not collecting or storing data you never asked for. For HIPAA compliant intake, that means less unnecessary information sitting in your records.

How it works

For any question, select the Show this field conditionally toggle. Set a condition tied to an earlier Dropdown or Single Choice question, then choose which answer reveals the field.

The form builder also got a full visual refresh in this release, with a searchable element library, on-canvas label editing, and light and dark mode support.

Available with Paubox Forms

Paubox Forms with conditional logic is included at no additional cost to all Paubox customers with a paid subscription.

Building HIPAA compliant forms that fit each person, instead of one rigid form for everyone, is what customers have been asking for. Customer feedback is part of the Paubox Foundations.
