Last week a few co-workers and I heard Aman Singla speak about MCP servers at an AI meetup in San Francisco.
What's happening: The AI meetup was held at the AWS Loft on Market Street, which was a short walk from Paubox HQ.
Co-founder and CEO of Immersa, Aman spoke about how to structure and deliver the right context to large language models (LLMs) so they can actually reason through tasks - not just retrieve answers. He also did a live demo with an Immersa MCP server.
Did you say MCP server?: Yes, indeed. An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is designed to expose functionality and data to AI agents and AI clients.
In short, it acts as a bridge between AI models and external resources.

My takeaways:
The bottom line: It was my third AI meetup of the year and I look forward to the next one. Time to level up.
