Announcing the 2021 Paubox Kahikina Scholarship recipients

Announcing the 2021 Paubox Kahikina Scholarship recipients

In 2019 we created the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship. Its primary objective is to encourage Native Hawaiians to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

The Paubox Kahikina Scholarship is recurring in nature. In other words, recipients receive $1,000 per year until they graduate (5 year maximum).

Last year we awarded three recipients, triple what we did in 2019 when Nick Wong was our inaugural awardee.

This year, I am pleased to announce we again tripled our reach and expanded to nine new scholarship recipients. In effect, we’ve tripled our recipient base for the second year in a row.

As a recap, we now have a total of 13 scholarship recipients, 12 of whom will receive $1,000 before fall semester starts. The thirteenth, Nick Wong, is taking a break from college and now works with us at Paubox.

Paubox Kahikina Scholarship Criteria

  • Native Hawaiian
  • Pursuing a STEM related major
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university
