Paubox Kahikina Scholarship is now accepting tax-deductible donations

Last week I wrote about how the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship submitted an application to the IRS for a 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

I'm pleased to announce today the following:

• We now have a separate bank account for the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship, which allows us to accept tax-deductible donations.
  
• 100% of your donation goes directly to scholarship recipients, not to administrative overhead.

Paubox Kahikina Scholarship

The mission of the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship is to encourage Native Hawaiians to pursue careers in STEM or technology in general.

The scholarship is recurring in nature. In other words, recipients receive $1,000 per year until they graduate. 

Scholarship requirements

• Native Hawaiian
• Pursuing a STEM or technology related major
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Annually publish content on your college journey

The 2026 application period opens on 1 January 2026.
