Paubox Kahikina Scholarship now includes all Tech fields

Effective immediately, the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship has broadened its scope to include both STEM majors and those pursuing tech careers in general.

What's happening: Launched in 2019, the scholarship originally targeted Native Hawaiians pursuing degrees in computer science. In 2021, we expanded its scope to include all STEM majors. Now in 2024, we've broadened it again to include both STEM or Tech in general.

About the scholarship: The primary objective of the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship is to encourage Native Hawaiians to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or Tech in general.

The scholarship is recurring in nature. In other words, recipients receive $1,000 per year until they graduate.

The bottom line: The big ideas behind the scholarship are financial aid and access to our network. Broadening the scope of scholarship to include all tech fields, in our opinion, achieves both.
