At Paubox, we’re a big fan of secret bonuses. When you sign up for Paubox Email Suite, you also unlock some secret bonuses with our secure email service.

For starters, you’re making it easier for your senders and recipients to send and receive HIPAA compliant email. But that’s not the only thing Paubox can do…

1. HIPAA compliant calendar invites

When scheduling appointments with patients or other individuals, sometimes it’s inevitable to include PHI such as a patient’s address or a specific healthcare program that they are involved in.

With Paubox, you can still protect PHI sent in a calendar invite thanks to Paubox’s seamless integration.

Paubox wraps around business email providers such as G Suite, Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange. When you create a calendar event in one of the aforementioned providers and send out the invite, that email invite gets delivered by Paubox’s email encryption so you can use your calendar as a HIPAA compliant calendaring service.

One Paubox customer, Hilopa’a Family 2 Family, no longer had to deal with a tedious multi-step process of creating the event in the calendar, taking a screenshot, printing it out as a PDF, and then re-attaching it to the email and sending it out.

Instead, you can make the calendar appointment reminders automatic and rest assured knowing Paubox will deliver the emails in a HIPAA compliant manner.

2. Send secure emails from Salesforce

If you have Salesforce’s Lightning Experience and are in the United States healthcare industry, we have good news for you: you can send Salesforce emails from your Gmail or Office 365 account.

Emails sent in Lightning Experience will look like they were sent from your Gmail or Office 365 inbox. You can also see the emails you’ve sent in your Gmail or Office 365 Sent Items folder.

Remember, Paubox wraps around G Suite and Office 365. So if you find yourself sending sensitive information through Salesforce, you can inherently send HIPAA compliant emails from Salesforce.

To begin, enable two user permissions: the send email permission and permission to access the email record.

Then, integrate Salesforce with your G Suite or Office 365 account:

  1. From your personal settings, enter My Email Settings in the Quick Find box, and select My Email Settings.
  2. Select how you’d like to send your email. Your Salesforce admin can enable either Gmail or Office 365 for your organization. You can’t choose between the two.
  3. Click Save.

Congratulations, you have successfully configured your G Suite or Office 365 account to send email from your Salesforce account.

Your outbound mail flow will now look like this: Salesforce > GSuite/Office365 > Paubox > delivered securely to your end recipient. Happy emailing!

3. HIPAA compliant voicemails

Did you know you can receive voicemails in email form? That’s how Scott Segerstrom, the Informations Security Director at Christie Clinic, configured Christie Clinic’s phone system.

Whenever a Christie Clinic employee receives a voicemail, the voicemail is transmitted into a WAV file attachment and sent via email with Paubox Email Suite.

This way, recipients can listen to their emailed voicemails whenever it’s convenient to their schedule and have an email log of received voicemails.

Conclusion

Paubox’s mission is to fix the broken email encryption system by redefining the secure email experience. We’re doing this by placing equal emphasis on user interface and military-grade security.

These secret bonuses are just some of the ways we’re increasing the adoption of encryption.
