Written by Aja Anderson | May 06, 2025

Each month we share a mix of ui updates, bug fixes, and new features. Have a suggestion of something we should work on? Reach out to your account manager or email us with your feedback!

Feature Improvements

  • commonly hacked passwords can no longer be used for Paubox accounts - if you try to use "pa55word" when reseting your account, you'll see the following UI error

    • the same parameters are in place when creating new accounts
  • improvements to ExecProtect+ were shipped last week that
    • corrected handling of unicode characters
    • removed quotation marks around display names created by Paubot
    • prevented mailing lists/Google groups from being added as display names
  • released SMTP API which is a specialized API that allows developers to programmatically send, receive, and manage email through an SMTP server
    • works with any SMTP-compatible server or application
    • SMTP API data is tracked in Email API product
      • please note: no updates to the Email API UI at this time, such as statistics - keep an eye out for additional improvements as the quarter progresses
    • supports custom headers
    • supports both inline and external attachments
    • dev docs are here
  • released click, link, and unsubscribe tracking for Email API
    • toggles live in Email API Settings
    • no improvements to Statistics UI at this time
  • released duplicate and archive functionality for Paubox Forms
    • users with franchised locations can easily create a copy of a form they spent a ton of time on instead of repeating their efforts for every business location
      • once "duplicate" is selected, you'll be prompted to "publish" or "publish and edit" your form
    • if you have a ton of test forms, you can archive them and move them out of your main forms table
    • forms can also be "unarchived"

Bug fixes

  • Paubox Forms responses were not rendering as expected in pdfs - text ran off the page and signatures did not appear - this has been corrected
    • please note - we are still working through an issue with the "text" field rendering in pdfs - we expect to have a fix in May
  • Paubox Forms was displaying scroll bars for elements than made no sense, like on the submit button - this has been corrected
