This week a prospect in Honolulu, Hawaii asked us the following question:
Are all of your data centers in the United States?
Since that question comes up fairly often, this post will answer that question.
Amazon Web Services
We have been a customer of Amazon Web Services from day one.
Of the 21 geographic regions available, we’ve built our platform in three of them, all of which are in the United States.
Our choice of data center locations also came up during our HITRUST journey.
In fact, it came up during our HITRUST CSF Gap Analysis. The specific questions posed to us around it were:
- Where is the data stored? Where is it processed? What systems transmit data?
As a recap, the HITRUST Alliance is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to champion programs that safeguard sensitive information and manage information risk for organizations across all industries and throughout the third-party supply chain.
In collaboration with privacy, information security and risk management leaders from both the public and private sectors, HITRUST develops, maintains and provides broad access to its widely adopted common risk and compliance management and de-identification frameworks; related assessment and assurance methodologies; and initiatives advancing cyber sharing, analysis, and resilience.
Our customers care about where Paubox processes and stores data. The same is true for HITRUST, the premier third-party security certification on the market.
Paubox processes and stores all of its data in data centers in the United States.
