With patient care as the upmost priority, Robert Montañez, vice president of technology, noticed a problem with AppRiver, the company's old secure email solution. AppRiver required a cumbersome process for staff to encrypt their emails, resulting in continuous communication delays between Beach House employees, patients, and insurance companies.

Robert and the Beach House team knew there had to be an easier email encryption solution out there.

Challenge

AppRiver required Beach House staff to log into a third party website every time they needed to send an encrypted email. Once the email was received, the recipient had to complete a number of specific steps in order to open and view the encrypted information.

This process continually caused delays in sending and receiving emails. “In the healthcare industry, every second is critical when treating our patients, and that includes correspondence with insurance companies,” Montañez shared.
