A word from one of this year's recipients, Owali Moeai. Owali will be attending Brigham Young University-Hawaii and studying computer science.

Owali Moeai: Aloha everyone, my name is Owali Moeai and I will be a freshman at BYU studying computer science. If you are studying anything STEM-related and you are Native Hawaiian I highly recommend you apply for this scholarship. What makes this scholarship different is, not only does the money go straight into your Venmo account, it's reoccurring. You get $1,000 every year. I highly encourage you to apply for this scholarship because it definitely will help you.
