Nick Wong: what the Paubox Kahikina STEM Scholarship means to me

Written by Chloe Bowen | November 26, 2021
Congratulations to all of the  Paubox Kahikina STEM Scholarship 2021 recipients! For more information on this scholarship,  click here.

A word from our first recipient Nick Wong, who has been receiving the scholarship since 2019. Nick worked at Paubox as a front-end developer during the height of COVID, and he went back to UC Berkeley this year to continue his computer science and data degree.

Nick Wong: Hello everyone, my name is Nick Wong. I am now a senior here at UC Berkeley studying computer science data science entrepreneurship. I also spent 18 months working at Paubox. Here's their $5 million annual recurring revenue shirt. I wanted to talk to you folks about the Paubox Kahikina Scholarship. I was the first winner back a couple years ago, and I couldn't recommend this scholarship more for any young Native Hawaiians looking to get into the technology industry. This scholarship is not only like a four-year recurring scholarship, but it's also your ticket to getting into the community of other people, other Native Hawaiians here up in the San Francisco Bay area. So definitely find some time to apply and feel free to reach out to me at nickwong.io anywhere if you have any questions.
