In the spirit of a thrilling sequel for our first  Paubox Customer Success Road Show, we ventured down south to Southern California's Orange County. While there, we visited RSABill, Inc. and spoke with Juli Quinn, the President of RSABill.

 

When billing an insurance company for medical services, you may be surprised (or not) with how many insurance companies resist paying the insurance claims.

Juli Quinn: 40% of insurance claims need a second touch

 

 

Hoala Greevy: Now you mentioned some errors in the insurance coverage and all that. What percentage of the time does that happen, in your opinion?

Juli Quinn: I would say it has grown to probably 40%. 40% of the claims need a second touch or a third touch, or a phone call. Yes, absolutely. And part of it is because it’s not uniform in the processing of claims. For instance, Blue Cross, Blue Shield may have a policy that is different from Cigna and different from United Healthcare. So we need to know carrier specific – not just speciality specific, but specific – how to get that claim to pass through clean on the first round.
